Hi Harold,
Happy New Year!
Yes, order the kit. If you can resist the temptation to put it together
before you bring it to the clubhouse, we'll set a date, most likely on a
Tuesday evening. Hope others join. I have an unbuilt kit or two I should
finish. One of them is the AM radio station!
Hope you are not "falling down in the snow in Vegas" (that is supposed to
be a joke)..

Bill, put me down as a kit builder. I am right now in Las Vegas and won't
return to the bay area until Jan 16. Should we order the kit ourselves?
I'm usually available on Tuesday nights and Saturdays, maybe except for the
day you pick. Ho Ho Ho. LOL

Hi All,
Happy New Year!
If you are wondering what might be a neat project for the New Year, you
might wish to take a look at the following URL. It is a description of a
very simple 40 meter 5-watt CW transmitter. If you have been thinking about
upgrading you license from Technician, or learning CW, this might be an
inspiration.

Several years ago, Bill KF6RMK spearheaded a group who built Rockmite QRP
sets. We set up tables at Hamilton and brought our kits and had a blast
putting them together. Many had never seen a soldering iron before, but
everyone managed to get their kit working.
Let's do it again! If you would like to make this kit, or have an eye on
another project, we can reserve a Tuesday evening and make it a kit-assembly
night. Or, we can set aside a Saturday if you prefer.
Leave a note on the reflector, or send me an e-mail if you are interested
and we'll make it a party.
