If you are interested in tracking the solar sunspot cycle, you might be
interested in the following url. If you poke around a little, you'll find
quite a bit of information. There is a power-point discussion which
discusses the range of intensity forecast for the now-current cycle.
Increased intensity apparently depends upon how active the solar cycle will
become over the next several months. We are presently still right at the
lowest point between cycle 23 (just ending and cycle 24 (thought to have
begun last December). At least two "new cycle" sunspots have occurred since
the beginning of cycle 24 last December, another this month (April).
