Great day at Hamilton. The Boy Scouts didn't show up, so the Christmas Star
was fixed up in place. Another day will be needed to change burned out
light bulbs, but all the sockets are tied down as well as they can be with
the Christmas Star still on the tower.
The 160 meter antenna is back up, thanks to Tony. We are all ready for
this winter's high-band DX. The 160 meter antenna is one of the best
antennas we have at Hamilton, it really is effective on that band. Look
forward to hearing Europe, it really is a treat to hear distant stations at
1820 KHz, and be able to talk to them, too!
We also cleared a guy wire that supports the two 50' telephone poles and
temporarily set it in position. We'll need additional tools to fasten it
correctly. The cable is big.
Thanks again, Tony!
