I downloaded the Koch Trainer over a year ago, and recently I downloaded the
latest version when I replaced my laptop. Two suggestions:

1. If you can, you might find the earlier version of the trainer (#8)
slightly better than the newer (#9). For me it's probably nore personal
rather than objective, but I like #8.

2. Follow the Koch Method, which is abbreviated on the G4FON website. The
full method is still available, and while the summary at G4FON is accurate
as far as it goes, the full method contains more than the summary.

While you could just use the trainer to practice the entire code, by
concentrating on recognition of each character (which is what the Koch
Method stresses) will work wonderfully too. I use it now to keep myself up
on characters you don't find too well in QSO's.

Incidentally, G4FON's trainer also includes several QSO files to practice
on -- one specifically for U.S. QSO's, and also one specifically for
non-U.S. QSO's, which I found more useful. There is a third QSO file I
haven't used very much.

Either way, have fun!!
