Steven,

I would recommend you STOP using the ARRL discs.
At least if they are still the same as the ones
I have heard in the past, starting out with slow
code and working your way up in speed.

That is NOT the best way to learn the code, in
fact it can permanently impair your ability to
learn fast Morse (definition of fast = anything
faster than your own current ability).

Google on G4FON, or look for Koch.exe.
The G4FON program is the single BEST way to become 
a real Morse whiz, in my opinion.  Slow code (the
old traditional way of learning Morse) is a long-term
handicap you don't want your brain to get exposed to.
Koch starts you right out at full speed (say 20 wpm),
and you learn it fast with minimum effort, for some
solid human-oriented reasons.
