A RockMite is a $28 single frequency (well, dual frequency) CW transceiver.
The receiver is direct conversion.  The transmitter includes a keyer, and
puts out a whole 0.8 watt!  Is it possible to work coast to coast on 40
meters with 0.8 watt?
