Hello Steve,
Make sure you write down the characters as you are listening to them!
I made the mistake of just listening with headphones while commuting on
BART, etc. and not practing simultaneously writing them down. When trying
for the 13 wpm test, I thought I had it licked. But then, when it came time
to take the test, all of a sudden 4 or 5 characters went by as I was
thinking of writing the one character down. I didn't get into the habit of
writing them down at 5 wpm either (...my bad practice habits caught up to
me...)
So always write them down as you hear them whether your going for 5 or 20
wpm...It may take a little longer but you will do excellent on the test when
your ready for it!
