I bought a WWII English Key at the CHRS swap this weekend. I have to find a
finger knob for it (which was missing), but maybe I'll bring it up and try
it out. :-)

Hi guys,
Thanks for supporting me on my trip to Brazil for
WRTC. WRTC is held in conjunction with the IARU
contest, which begins next Saturday at 1200Z UTC, and
runs 24 hours.
The WRTC competitors will be easy to find. We
will all have specially assigned callsigns, PW5* or
PT5*, the * being a one letter suffix. There are 47
teams, and awards will be issued for working all of
them.
I won't know which callsign I have been assigned until
10 minutes before the contest start, and I cannot
announce who I am during the contest. This is to
prevent any favoritism of friends only working
friends.
We should be very easy to work. There are 47
identical stations with a tribander, 2el 40M yagi, and
80M dipole. We will be using Acom 1010 amplifiers
with about 700 watts output.
As Bill commented, I will most likely be operating
primarily CW. My partner, N6MJ, is a much better SSB
operator and will be handling most of those duties.
Since CW QSOs count the same as SSB, if the band is
open, expect us to be on phone since you can work
stations much faster on that mode. We are hoping to
work about 3,000 people to be in the running for the
win - not bad for 24 hours!
You can follow the progress of the contest online.
There is a scoreboard that will update every hour.
Here is the URL:

They are currently running a demo score board, and we
hope to be much higher on the list once the real
contest starts!
I'm leaving Tuesday AM, and will return the following
Wednesday. I'll keep my ear open for HWA members, and
thanks for supporting team N2NL/N6MJ!
