The Hamilton Wireless Association will be sponsoring the annual Northern
California MARS Conference.  MARS (Miltiary Auxiliary Radio Service) is a
group of radio operators sponsored by the U.S. Navy who volunteer their time
to convey messages between enlisted personel and their families.  MARS
members also participate in emergency preparedness activites.  Chief MARS
and MARS members from Northern Calfornia will be attending the meeting,
which will be held this Saturday, June 23 from 9:00am to 2:00pm.

As in previous years, we intend to hold the event at our clubhouse at
Building 549. The club will hold a barbecue and pot-luck lunch and will hold
a raffle of small radio items.  Of course members and their families of the
Coast Guard and all HWA members are especially welcome.  We have invited the
Boy Scouts and hope they will be able to participate in the event.

Building 549 will be open and we have obtained permission to use the north
end of the Commensary parking lot for spill-over parking.
