A big thank you goes out to Peter Bland and Bill Stewart for their
assistance in installing two new metal shelf assemblies today. The new
shelves are in excellent condition and replace rather wobbly old rusty
monsters in the workshop. The new shelves are perfect for storing parts and
test equipment, and will really help make the workshop a great place for
working on your project. Books that were stored on the old shelves are
stashed in boxes; we will be working on sorting them out and getting them in
their rightful place on the library shelves.

Also, thanks to Alan Best who has cleaned and deepened the drainage along
the walkway at the front of the building. It was still draining today, two
days after our latest deluge and is just in time to protect the building
from lots of new rain on saturated soil. Without the drains, we have had
water back up into the wiring troughs inside the building. Think they are
dry this year.

A very Happy New Year goes out to all! Building 549 will be open for "Heavy
Metal Night" on 80 AM, "Straight Key Night" for those who would like to
contact their fellow CW operators, and/or whatever else suits your whim. If
you can, please drop by the clubhouse. Maybe we can talk Peter into making
some of his special "Holiday Cider" (don't dare risk an attempt to spell its
proper name).

Anyway, lets make this new year grander than ever! And again, thanks to
all who made this past year a big boost for HWA. The club is looking good.
