The fourth annual Submarines on the Air event is set to happen the weekend of
April 29-30, 1400 to 2100 UTC. This year marks the centennial of the US
Submarine Service.

"We may have every museum submarine this year, plus about 10 memorials, a
German U-Boat, and a Japanese two-man sub on in the US"

The approximate operating frequencies (±20 kHz except ±40 kHz on 10 meters) are
SSB: 3.843, 7.243, 14.243, 21.343, and 28.443 MHz; CW: 3.543, 3.743,
7.043, 14.043, 21.143, 28.043, 28.143, and the entire 30-meter band.

For non-submarine-bound operators, a master memorial submarine certificate with
endorsements is available upon providing proof of at least four different
submarine contacts. Send copies of QSLs and an SASE to Jim Flanders, W0OOG,
1539 California Trail, Plano TX 75023-4300.--Jim Romelfanger, K9ZZ; Jim Riley,
