May not make it this evening. If I don't, the latest version of the flyer I handed out at the last meeting is below. Please get any comments to me soon, and I'll try to incorporate the ideas into the final version.

Thanks.

When did you

a.. spend time helping the victims of a disaster?
a.. link our servicemen and women overseas and their families here?
b.. take part in contests and games to develop skills to help community agencies?
c.. make a friend in Europe and another in Asia in the same day?

All without leaving the comfort of your own home?

We do
 all the time!

We’re radio amateurs, your next door neighbors. We get a whole lot of personal satisfaction doing things to help others. And we have a lot of fun doing them.

We also

a.. Take part in transmitter hunts, field days, contests, etc.
a.. Design and build much of our own equipment.
b.. Develop new technologies, including solar, wind, battery power sources, innovative antennas, and so on.
c.. Communicate around the world using extremely low ("flea") power.
d.. Cars, boats, bicycles – we use radios in all of them – while we’re using them.
e.. Communicate with space shuttle missions.
a.. Work with schools, public agencies and other organizations which serve our community.
a.. Talk to friends around the country and the world regularly.
b.. Serve as good will ambassadors for our country with colleagues around the world.
a.. Get together with each other every month, many times at BarBQ’s and the like.
We’d like you to join us.

Bring a desire to help and be a citizen of the United States.
We’ll help you with everything else.
Give us a call.
