Hi Tim,
Well, the easiest thing would be not to answer any calls while we are
waiting for the practice guys to come on but there is no way of telling
if it is a new station who wants to join the practice. I was calling
K6BW 4 or 5 times and the ham in Pasadena probably figured no one was
answering me so he would give it a try. I was going to see if there were
any breakers during our QSO but he signed off before I had the chance.
Also, don't be shy about breaking in to the QSO-no problem. Just send BK
or a couple of dits several times and we will usually hear and
acknowledge the breaker.
I have several people answer me after I make repeated calls because they
think
my target station is not answering back. One guy in Oregon wanted to
join our group but have not heard him on again.
Maybe we can agree to try 7.065 after contact is not made after 7:15 or
7.045 is too crowded.
What does everyone else think?
Bill
