[K6BW] Code Practice

Hi, Tim

Your sending was fine! I copied everything you sent with no problem.
Remember, we are all at roughly the same level, and feel just the same as
you. I copied overall at roughly the same percentage. Did you hear my fist
at the end? It was pretty rough.

I know if I could copy everything in my head that I would really enjoy CW,
but I can't yet, and it is still "work." But you know the "rest of the
story" hi hi.

Actually our three-way QSO today was a milestone as we have tried to set up
practice sessions before and couldn't begin hear each other due to
propagation. Perhaps the word will spread if we keep at it and others will
join. As others join, you won't have to transmit as much, and we should all
keep our transmisisons short. ;-)

Please keep going, that makes it fun for everyone. If you need anyone to
slow down, just say so, we are just exercising anyway. Besides, I for one
really want to practice not writing everything down, and slow code will
help.

Thanks for the welcome. I was a little unsure I'd be able to participate at
the level I wanted to, and that proved to be the case. My sending was poor.
And I can't blame the equipment -- it was me. I was way too rusty, and I
need a lot of practice. And my copying was below the level at which I
performed. The slow transmissions I copied at about 75%, but the quicker
ones I heard only about 10 - 15%.

I'll be listening more than I'll be sending, if that's OK with everyone.
That's where I need the most work. Please don't feel I'm trying to avoid
contact. As I get better at copying I'll be more apparent.
