Bill, thanks for letting me know about the "chirp" on my CW signal.  I set
up a radio to monitor my transmission and heard it clearly when I first
turned the transceiver on and made a transmission.  However it seems to
disappear on its own without me doing anything so I assume that it is
related to the radio warming up.  I cannot find a problem in the antenna
circuit.  The SWR problem I have is related to the software monitoring
system I have.  The inline detectors send signals to a processor which
displays the SWR and active forward and reflected power on the computer
screen.  The cables to the processor plug into mini DIN sockets and I have
found that you have to regularly clean these to get a true reading on the
computer.  KG6MZV
