Greetings all you early birds ---

I found at 0700 local time that 7145 MHz, in fact almost all of 7100 - 7150
MHz (The novice/tech band) was awash with the most horrendous QRM I've ever
heard --- all atmospherics. It started to clear a little after 0710, but it
was still pretty bad when I gave up monitoring at 0723.

I'm afraid I'm going to have a problem with 0700. The eyeballs don't seem
to converge as quickly pre - 0900 as they do afterward. And while I found
very few amateurs on the band at that time, I believe there was a good
reason given the QRM.

However, below 7100 MHz, it was more serene.
