Hi, Heath

I checked the reflector, you are subscribed as =
[email protected]. There hasn't been much activity lately, so =
we should stir some up! :-)

Bill Stewart and I have been talking about visiting the Livermore Swap =
meet on December 7 (the first Sunday of the month). After the swap, we =
are thinking about attending a meeting of the Norcal QRP club in =
Pleasanton. Norcal is a very active club that has been developing QRP =
(small power) transceiver kits. They have almost put QRP on the map, =
and are growing into a national organization.

I have been busy with Navy MARS, installing a short-wave message node, =
or at least getting it working correctly. Next step is to add a VHF =
link, which will work with a radio repeater on Mt. Diablo.

The memory in the 500 MHz computer is working quite well, but I must =
admit I am still using the old 166 MHz computer. Can't seem to tear =
myself away from a working device.

Happy Thanksgiving!

  Hello ,=20
I was wondering about ham radio and I have been reading a bit about =
it. Could you tell me more about the tests and work involved in getting =
a ham radio operators license. I am really interested. Thanks for you =
time.
