How would field day become meaningless???

Most hams set up away from towns and cities, and operate off the grid (solar,
generators, & batteries).

I would think field operations would allow one to get away from any possible
interference.

I'm kind of for this as I'm considering a move to an area that is not served
by cable or DSL. However, I think that the application of this technology
should be limited to areas where no other alternative for broadband service
is available.
