A couple of updates
First, new doors have been installed at Hamilton, and the locks have been
changed. I have the new keys (each door now has its own key), which I will
be copying and distributing to our "Founding Members." If you have been
considering becoming a Founding Member, this is a good time ($100 gets you,
now, two keys).
I have 15 sets of keys (to a tune of $63.38!), and plan to be up at the
clubhouse this Saturday evening around 6:00pm. If you'd like to come up and
pick up your key at that time, please put a call out on the repeater to make
sure I was able to make it before taking the trip to the clubhouse.
Second, Carl Herrick has donated two 36", 72" shelving units. They are made
of Malomite (sp?) but should work well. Jerry Craner and I hope to pick
them up next week. Wayne and Michael have another shelf unit in mind, but
don't know the dimensions. Also, there are extra metal shelves (no vertical
brackets) from which we may fashion something. They will probably require
derusting and repainting.
Onward and upward! Keep looking. Carl's shelves are a start, but we still
need two more bookcases. Office Depot sells new bookcases for $49 each, but
we'll have to check the quality. Spec was for 35lb/shelf or maybe that was
35 lb total, it didn't say. ;-)
