Curious how people in Ukraine would know about the broadcasts?

I’m guessing that airtime on shortwave isn’t as expensive as I thought it would be. And that comes from many years of having to deal with brokered programming on peanut whistle AMs where “no tape is racked until the check clears”.

USAGM management has so far decided not to use radio to reach Ukraine
and Russia.
So a group of concerned citizens has crowdfunded time for VOA content on
WRMI.
Of course, USAGM transmitters in Germany, Kuwait, and Greenville would
do a better job of reaching the region.
In the meantime, it's WRMI.
