This reminder that the VOA Amateur Radio Club meets today at 11:45 am in TSI conference room 4514.
We are meeting in this conference room rather than the shack to accommodate non-members who want to hear our guest presenter.
A presentation on the High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program (HAARP) in Gakona, Alaska, will be given by one of the primary system designers. HAARP is the world's most capable high-power, high-frequency transmitter for study of the ionosphere and was originally developed by the U.S. Air Force, the U.S. Navy, the University of Alaska and the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) .
If you are coming from outside the building, the procedure is the same as usual: Meet me at the C Street entrance no later than 11:40 am, and I'll sign you in.
If you will participate in the meeting by telephone, the phone number is 712-775-7031 (not toll free) and the access code is 459-111.
The Federal Employees Net will be called Monday at 11:30 am on the K3VOA 2M repeater, 147.045 MHz, 77 Hz PL.
