[K3VOA] VOA ARC meets Tuesday

October is suddenly upon us, so The VOA Amateur Radio Club will meet Tuesday, October 6, at 11:45 in the shack.


In addition to club business, Bill Whitacre will talk to us about medium wave (AM broadcast band) DXing. Distant medium wave stations can be heard any AM radio, but Bill does the extreme version of the hobby, setting up large antennas at coastal locations. The result is some amazing transoceanic reception.


Next week, I'll send information about getting into the building, or participating in the meeting by telephone.
