[K3VOA] VOA ARC meeting tomorrow

A brief mention of this morning's 2-meter repeater issue;

The K3VOA 147.045 repeater seemed to be working normal at the start of the
"Federal Employees' Net" (11:30 AM startup). It soon became obvious that
something was wrong as nearly all stations' signals began to fade into
noise and then pop up normal.

I made a brief survey of the feed lines and antennas on the Cohen roof.
Since the UHF repeater operates into a "duo-band" antenna I decided it best
to substitute for the possibly bad VHF repeater antenna. Almost simple
enough; required an extra 25 feet of coax (I think its 50 Ohm) and a few
adapters (BNC to N, we had just the right combination on hand).

Quick operational checks with Andy, KC9WER and Kim, KD9XB gave us enough
confidence to leave it set, as now is.

Another tip was signal strength (usually from my bench monitor) was varying
quite a bit earlier; now the needle stays almost flat against the right
hand side. Good enough for now; maybe a subject for the meeting.

Cheers!
