Treasurer's Report: John, K3NJ, reports no expenditures in the last month.
Dues are coming in which should build our savings and checking accounts
somewhat.
Station Report: John reports all our equipment is working fine and our
antennas are in good shape.
Old Business: The station's new laptop is staying on and kept in "sleep"
mode. John reports one laptop is still missing, and since he is responsible
for it, he really would like it returned. Gerhard, K6XH, reports attachments
can now be put on the QTH listserve emails. We continue to look for a new
Treasurer.
New Business: The ARRL 10 meter contest will take place beginning Friday
night, 12/12 and ending Sunday evening, 12/14. K3VOA will be on as W1AW/3
and will be operating on both SSB and CW. We are encouraged to use both.
Ken, K4ZW, will set things up and will bring an amplifier and other
equipment. Someone should take pictures. Club members are invited to come to
the shack whether you want to operate or not. Please go to K3VOA.org and
send an email if you are coming.
One of our guests, Don Jones, K6ZO, gave a brief talk on HackDC, the
"hackerspace" serving our national capital and the surrounding area. The
organization exists to improve the world through creatively rethinking
technology. Mr. Jones invites us to visit HackDC's location at 1525 Newton
St., and/or visit the website: www.hackdc.org <http://www.hackdc.org/> .
The meeting was adjourned at 12:38.
The next VOA ARC meeting is Tuesday, January 6, 2015, 11:45 AM in the K3VOA
shack. You may call the shack via landline 202-203-4256 or via the repeater
147.045 for an escort into the building.
Respectfully submitted,
Tony Riggs - W1FHN
Secretary
