[K3VOA] ARRL 10 Meter Contest - W1AW/3

As mentioned, we will be participating in the ARRL 10 Meter contest from K3VOA using the ARRL HQS callsign W1AW/3.  The contest starts Friday, December 12 at 7 PM local and runs until Sunday night at 7 PM.  We will be entering the Multi Operator, Single Transmitter category, both SSB and CW. I've attached an operator schedule, broken into 1 hour blocks during periods when the band will hopefully be open.  Sometimes this is like a VHF contest, local ground-wave stations only, and other times worldwide when the band opens.  We will have to make sure we give both modes adequate coverage as many stations will need the District of Colombia on CW & SSB.



I'm planning to set up the station this week so those who can make the meeting in December can have a chance to see how things are configured and take a test drive.



This is a very unique opportunity for our club and station.  Even if you are not into contesting or not comfortable  operating HF, stop in for a few hours and hang out or, we'll pair you up with someone you can operate with.  We'll need some logistical support too as several members of the ARRL staff will be down to participate in the contest with us. At some point I will give the ARRL staff a chance to claim some operating spots, but I wanted to give club members first shot.  I'll maintain the master spreadsheet so just drop me an e-mail with your preferred date, time, and mode.
