The NWS has scheduled a class many of you have been waiting for.  There

Baltimore/Washington office as well as the basics of storm spotting.
There is also a section specifically for Amateur Radio operators and
people interested in Amateur Radio. It is open to anyone in the
Baltimore/Washington NWS County Warning Area, especially areas where
they have few spotters, including the counties of Fauquier, Rappahannock,
Culpeper, Orange, Madison, Greene, Highland, Albemarle, Nelson, and City
of Harrisonburg in VA; Cecil and Harford in MD; and Grant, Pendleton in
WV. T  Please spread the word on your nets and mailing lists and at your
club meetings.

The Basics course is a prerequisite for all other courses offered by the
Baltimore/Washington NWS office and will provide you with a Spotter ID.
Registration is free but as this is expected to have a heavy turnout,
please sign up early.  Further information and a link to the
registration can be found at https://www.weather.gov/washington/skywarn.
