[K3PZN-List] CCARC General Meeting Postponed

All,

After monitoring the upcoming winter weather on both NOAA and Weather
Underground, the Carroll County FireWire, and this quote from the National
Weather Service, "-The main threat will be light ice accumulation from
freezing rain. The morning commute should be dry, but the evening commute
may be impacted by freezing rain across many locations, including the
Washington and Baltimore Metropolitan areas", and fielding a few emails
about whether we'll have a meeting, I've decided the interests of both
member safety and meeting attendance will be better served by postponing
tomorrow'smeeting by one week, moving it to Monday, January 15, 2018.  I
will contact the Training Center to reserve the room for Monday, January 15 and
keep you posted.  Our Tech Talk presenters have informed me that they can
shift a week.

A number of members have suggested we conduct an on-air meeting at the same
time and I've picked up some enthusiasm from folks for the idea.  While
this will clearly not take the place of our regular meeting, especially
since we've a number of speakers lined up that I'd hate miss, there are one
or two topics that would be good to mention to the group.

Steve has agreed to link the repeaters so I look forward to a few check-ins
tomorrow at 7:30 pm.

I'll update the web pages accordingly and immediately, and will let you
know if there are any problems with the Training Center.
