[K3PZN-List] Mobil Radio Install

Kyle,

I used crimp terminal connectors in my previous vehicle (around 7 years of mobile hamming) and the same with my current vehicle to secure the wire to my battery. It’s a shame Radio Shack isn’t around, but I’d bet Tractor Supply has them.

Heck, I’ll mail you a few if you could wait a few days for them to arrive (not sure how quick you’re looking to get up and running).

Also, I learned this the hard way. Save yourself trouble and terminate both your radio and battery wire with Anderson PowerPoles. That way you can easily hook up your radio at home and if you ever get a new radio it’ll just plug right in.

Also, fuse both leads close to the battery. Last thing you want is your positive wire shorting to your chassis or your ground wire shorting to positive somewhere along the line. Probably overkill, but much better to err on the side of caution.
