CONGRATS!

FYI: You had it easy ;) - Us old timers had to take 8 exams, three Morse code (5wpm, 13wpm, & 20wpm for Extra) and Five written (Novice, Technician, General, Advanced, & then Extra), ah but that's water over the damn & under the bridge now. :) Aren't you glad you didn't have to do all that?!?
Well, now that you can use everything you'll need to learn Morse code so you use the code portions of the spectrum using CW. Hey, Enjoy the freedom of all the bands Kyle!

Dear CCARCers and PVRCers,

As many of you know, my good friend and former QSL manager, "DX" Joe, N3YIM has retired from HF operation and I am testing and selling some of his more interesting equipment.

Joe has an excellent condition Ameritron AL-811 for sale.? It runs on 120v and puts out 600 watts PEP on SSB with (3) 811 tubes.? Cosmetically and electronically this unit isin extremely good condition, and was used mostly to "pounce" on DX stations.
This is an easy way to generate a bigger signal with a small footprint; the amp is quiet and will boost your 100w barefoot signal almost 8dB
(that's about 1+1/2 S-Units)

The amplifier is in my basement available for testing and use prior to purchase.? While Joe used it successfully in contests, I would recommend this as a good starter amplifier, howeverI would NOT recommend it for high duty cycle operations like RTTY, AM or sustained SSB/CW CQing for long periods of time with few answers.?
Sale price is $425 or best reasonable offer.??

Please contact me via this email if you are interested.

Thank you.

73,

Jim Nitzberg? ?WX3B

All,
Thursday night I decided I was going to cram study to take my extra class exam at the CARA fest today. Well I passed. However I made things complicated and had applied for a vanity callsign (W3GXP) before I undertook this task. So it may be a while before I can actually use those segments with out /AE. At any rate though I'm finally done with license exams and can finally use everything! But for now I'm still KC3FMP
Kyle
