[K3PZN-List] CCARC Web Pages - Input requested

I don’t mean to be critical, but since you asked for input, I will offer the following comments:
1- the calendar of events needs to be either up to date, or just deleted. Having year old info does nobody any good. Future events would be good, such as hamfests, field day, etc. Not only ours, but others in the area, and major ARRL activities, such as kid’s day, Rookie Round Up, etc. And maybe when club meetings are placed on the calendar, mention if a talk is to be given.
2- some of the links on the home page don’t work. Click on Dx Spots and you get an ad for ecigarettes. Reverse beacons does not connect. We need to either have relevant, useful links that work, or none. Clicking on a link should open a new tab. That way the CCARC web page stays open.
3- Maybe a page of photos. Club activities, a photo of someone giving a talk at a meeting, field day, etc. Members could submit photos of their stations, portable set ups, and so forth.
4- the look of the site could certainly be improved. Better font, color choices, layout to make it look more 21st century. A sure fire way to turn off prospective members is to keep the current, drab, black and white layout. (Pete- you may wish to ask Emily. I spent a lot of money on her education, so she owes me. And she is pretty good at it.)
I would be happy to look at what you already have and make comments and even offer some time to help in this endeavor. As you already know, setting it up takes time, but the real work is keeping it going. Please email me any questions and/or proposed pages- I will not be at the April 10 meeting, it is Seder (first night of Passover).
