This is the time of year for 6m E skip, so do check things out in the CW/SSB spectrum (CW typically below 50.100, SSB above 50.125 .... and in between the DX window.

There is a local beacon on 50.064.  Last couple nights it seems band was open to Caribbean and YV.  Maybe to Europe while I was at work ?  Single hop to Florida or Midwest or W5 is even more common.

For skip, of course, either polarization can work.

If I were retired, I would have a 432 MHz quagi built by now ..... not that there is much skip there - just a new frontier.

Learned how to do WSPR -- JT64 can't be too far behind (some big guns even use it).

I may have a presentation ready for use down the road.  CUL

I might have been away from the computer.  I did wander away.  I'm on
146.52, the UHF repeater, and 50.525 MHz FM at 5:23 PM
