Kyle
you have me concerned for multiple reasons, whatever this wired connection to your car might be !

audio - I would be slightly less concerned - your car would still be a car without a radio
power - proceed with lots of caution.  i once damaged an alternator with my installation (I was using a 'cigarette lighter' jack to feed 15 amps ... not a good idea !)
yes we are in a new age for finding electrical connection stuff - but merchants like home depot and auto parts stores do have some material.  but I would do some appropriate design work - before gathering materials.  in your car - stay conventional with all wiring.

connectors are preferred over soldering for maintenance -- and most times in a car (especially in an engine compartment) crimping may be preferred over solder.

 Kyle-
By "aux" jack do you mean for a line level input to the car audio system?  If so, that would require wiring specific to that system. And if the car has no input now for an auxiliary input, you probably can't just wire one in without tapping into the junction between the pre amp and audio power amp. (Which would not be easy).
