  - 10- m mobile from Radio Shack $40
  - 2-m preamp and power amp, suitable for boosting an HT signal, $30.

He's got a bunch of HTs too, one a TH 78A, and an Icom or two.  Maybe a
good back up or starter HT for a new ham?
