I'm glad you included the www.PerigeePower.com topic because I would really like to see common kits made for club members using one (expandable up to four) 100W solar panels to charge deep-cycle AGM (and standard) sealed lead acid batteries of up to 90 Ah each for portable and emergency operations.  EVERY PERSON ought to have some kind of "off-grid" replenishable emergency power in one's ham shack no matter how small to start, especially if room for expansion later is part of the engineering considerations.  

I look forward to talking about this topic at our next general meeting on Monday, February 13.

AGENDA

Larry ran down the club's balances.

TS64 Tone Decoder purchased for the Sykesville 2M Repeater.
Andy gave updates on work to Fusion repeater and updates to Westminster Repeaters at Gorsuch Rd.

Pat asked the club to validate a node with Echolink. <http://www.echolink.org> Pat would like to experiment with a node linked to Sykesville Repeater.

Steve and Pete discussed volunteers for and operation of Net Control for ARES/RACES nets.

Andy discussed in the future to meet and determine what assets and property to keep from barn.

Pat brought up membership cards and id's.

Pete brought up club logo and update of design.

Perigee Power Solutions (from Nov 2016 presentation) would like to work with the club to develop battery packs for Amateur Radio use.

Steve may give an RSP1 SDR presentation for next general meeting.
Other presentation ideas is Pete giving a presentation on SWR and cable lengths.
