[K3PZN-List] Net control volunteer roster.......

The ARES/RACES CARET net has been on Tuesday at 8:30 for 20 years or more. I was my thought (maybe misunderstanding) that the net control person needed to me an ARES/RACES member that knew the format and follows it for the net. If this is true, then you asking for a list of net control ops would only work if that list is just ARES/RACES members. Non ARES/RACES members can check in but I think the net control is fixed.

Back in August 2000 I started the 6 meter net when the person that had run a SWAP NET (on the air buy/sell) was tired of doing it and wanted to give up the net. Jerry (N3SOK) and I started the 6 meter net to start a spark on 6m. We wanted it to be fun but also full of info for 6m & all VHF/UHF. Over the past few years I have also talked about HF as well as digital info.

NOW - If you want to take over my 6 meter net in place of the CARET net - then have at it and I will stop my net. After all - this is using the CCARC repeaters.

All,

Fred has an interesting point. Anyone with historical knowledge know the
rational for the choice? From my perspective, Monday is bad because it is
meeting night, Friday is bad because its Friday, and for me personally,
Thursdays are bad because I have a prior engagement away from radio each
Thursday.

Would Wednesday be a better night?
