Hi Nancy;
Everyone starts at the beginning.
Your success from that point forward depends on your positive attitude
and your calm demeanor. The calm demeanor is probably the most
important. Served agencies and fellow hams will not want to work with
someone who has a bad attitude.
You got your messages through. Success! Thanks for participating today.

One way to resolve this would be to have NCS make a test transmission at the beginning of the event, to insure everyone is in sync. It's also easy to check and confirm the mode by voice before switching to Digital.
>>
>> 2) Some stations left the net without checking with the NCS first. It's important to keep the NCS informed when you leave the net. A missing person situation is not a good thing, and someone who doesn't respond to a call on a net that they are checked into is a missing person.

>> 3) There were a few other minor FLDIGI operational problems, that would quickly get resolved after a few minutes of use.
>>
>> You accomplished a lot this morning. You set up a communications network in just a few minutes, that provided voice and digital communications capability, then tested that network and proved that it was operational. You tested backup communications paths in case the primary path failed. You operated the net in a manner that permitted effective communications with both voice and data. You diagnosed, and repaired some glitches along the way. Behind this network was over 200 years of radio communications experience. This represents a tremendous asset to our community, when an emergency occurs. Communications is the #1 item mentioned over and over again during exercise outbrief meetings with other emergency responders and support agencies. I hope you all understand how important your contribution is, and how much it is appreciated.
