Curt,
Thanks for that information. I use N3FJP's software package for my logging and then use N1MM or N3FJP for contest stuff. I just read that my rig the Kenwood TS-480SAT does not need a rig control interface as there is one built into the radio its self all you have to do is plug the cable in. I used winlog 32 for a while but I couldn't get use to and just didn't like it.
Kyle

Kyle
Your account is due for further draining. Actually not at all.
Hams typically log their hf and other simplex contacts. We used to do it on paper in a logbook. Now most of us use a pc logging program. Many are freely given by a fellow ham. I use winlog32 for general logging, and N1MM for DX and contesting. Both will use the rig interface. Other log programs can be found on the web. Enjoy.

This is really useful when the log program can also receive DX spots via the web. In the manner the program may put these onto a virtual frequency dial, and it becomes very useful.

Do I have to make them myself or where can I buy one or does anyone have one I can take off your hands? If I have to make one could someone help me after vacation. I believe the connection is a CAT connection almost like a project connection I think it's a DB-9 but I'm not totally sure.
