[K3PZN-List] Radio Trouble

Hi all, 

My station is experiencing some radio trouble. During a QSO my audio went down into static and I have to turn up the volume all the way up in order to hear anything. There is also a very audible whine in all the transmissions including the repeater ID and stations running good power. I opened it up and found a little metal box thast I believe had some kind of screw in it had broken the little screw and the copper inside came out. It still operates but not very well on RX. TX seems fine and I have gotten good signal reports. 

Any ideas? Even though the radio is atleast 10-15 years old I'm very attached to it and hoping it can be fixed. I can bring it to the meeting on Monday alone with a power supply if anyone wants to take a look at it.
