My Astron 20A supply worked fine with both a Kenwood TS-50 & a Yeasu FT-757 gx II at 100W with no problem. Most 20A supplies can handle peaks of 25-30A for short durations which is what you're talking about. So, it should have no problems handling a 100W rig. Even if it was running full power for extended periods of time, assuming it is of the quality of an Astron supply. As I said, 13.8 V * 20A = 276Watts and assuming a 100W rig has a 50% efficiency when transmitting it uses 200W which leave a 76 Watt ~ 27% head room.
I'll leave it to you to figure out the peak wattage of a 20A supply with 25A or 30A short-term peak handling capabilities.

While the 20A supply may work 90% of the time with an HF rig, at full power the transmitter peaks may clip resulting in harmonics and splatter on the band. You do not want to be the guy generating interference.
