The linear supply will be quieter than a switching supply. However the linear supply is 20 amps which is adequate for a 50 Watt VHF/UHF radio but most 100 watt HF rigs require more than 20 Amps.

I have 2 power supplies and thinking about them now I'm not sure which one to be using. One is an Astron RS20A linear and the other is a pyramid psv300 switching. What would you all recommend. I've been using the linear but with the switching I have 30a versus 20a
