Thanks, Steve, for the offer of the antenna...accepted! The inverted vee
should work well (I'll bring a tuner).

I won't get in the way of the 5A...will work with the digi op.

Thanks all es 73,
Tony KF3AK

Tony:

you could use my 80m during the day if that allows you to get into a node,
while I'm on 20m (cw). Could use my 20m during the night too.

To keep us 5A I think the dig stn would need to qrx while you transmit...or
we go 6A if dig is on another band while you transmit.

Hi Mike,

Here's another change...

I am planning to set up a winlink station on Saturday for operation
nominally between 2 and 4 pm on VHF and HF. I'll bring all equipment needed
except AC power (but will have battery power if AC unavailable).

If you powers-that-be permit, I would like to borrow a few minutes on one
of the 80 or 40 wire/horizontal HF antennas for local/regional contact. If
that access is not available, I'll use a BuddiPole for 40 and above. Either
way, I would only transmit HF when the other same-band station(s) are not,
so the transmitter count should not be affected (if I remember the rules
correctly).

Message sent by winlink count for points as long as they are formatted as
Radiograms (and a paper copy is submitted with the report. A message sent
to the SMD/SEC is good for 100 and up to ten other messages at ten each.

I plan to arrive around 1pm and can use some help with all of the above,
especially message generation.

Please let me know what you think of this plan (good and bad) and where I
should plan to set up.

CU Saturday es 73,
Tony KF3AK

It looks like the FD plans change with each email. I talked with Ray on the
phone and he wants to get his AB577 in place on Friday night. This is just
putting up the base and the base guy wires --- just 1 tube to get things
started. This should take only about 1 hour (less with more help). This also
gives others in the CCARC a little training on the 577. After the tower is
in place we then can walk the grounds and talk over where each of the other
stations should/could be placed. With 2 generators plus the camper generator
I think we can be far enough apart to cut down on the interference between
stations and still feel like we part of the same group. LOL Ray said he
could be at Gamber by 7pm on Friday and I told him I could be there to help.
I think we need 2 other people (more is always nice) to help. If 7pm is too
early, then stop by when you can.
