Go to 7.3 drivers. If you join the baofeng_uv5rYahoo group, the right drivers are in the filessection. I've had a '5R for 3 years. You canemail me directly for more information. I usedthe 3.2.0.0 Prolific driver from my CAT cable.

I thought I had my new Baofeng programmed manually since I haven't
got any software to work. But at the Drill last saturday I couldn't
check in with it and had to use the radio in the kit.

I have tried both Windows and Linux versions of the CHIRP Daily version.
At this point I think it may be the cable. Both versions of the
software says it can't configure my ports.

If someone has a programming cable I will try to remember to bring
my laptop and HT, and see what I am doing wrong.
