Jeff Fish, KB3FIL is requesting some SET help from Carroll County, I can make out a 3X5 card as requested but I do bot have APRS so we need to provide someone willing to use his/her APRS radio/car to transport a rig (the 3X5 card as stated below) to the location stated below. If someone has APRS but does not know how to get to the overlook I can help with that as well, though it might be more fun to have them talk us in.

Thanks again for helping with the Gran Fondo race. Was at the SET Planning Meeting today, and was disappointed that there was no representation from Carroll county. The scenario is that MEMA is destroyed by a tornado, and simulated replacement radio gear is to be loaned to the temporary MEMA facility by all counties by being passed to the next county while being tracked by APRS.
 
They have decided to use our new Mobile Command Post (MCP) as pseudo MEMA, and we’ll station it at the I-270 overlook just south of Frederick. We would like to request that you or someone from Carroll ARES that has mobile APRS, meet one of our folks in Mt. Airy and hand them a 3x5 card that says “Icom 706 MK 2G” with your signature (or an ARES official) on the card, at around noon on Oct. 4th.  Then that Frederick ARES person would bring it to the MCP.
