[K3PZN-List] AMSAT at CCARC Mason-Dixon Hamfest this [past] Sunday!

Wow, what a fabulous weekend!  

HAD A GREAT TIME at the hamfest yesterday.  See the photo and short 
short story on FB at the link given above.  Got to chat with bunches of 
folks about the hamsats while staffing the AMSAT booth, across from 
the ARRL booth, the club booth and the food tables.  Got to spend 
some time with longtime CCARC member Rich Mitchell, N3III.  Rich 
proposed that we might build our own CubeSat soon, at least a demo 
unit to start.  Sounds like an awesome, wild and crazy idea!  Maybe a 
subject during the next club meeting on Monday, November 10?  

Fellow club members were very helpful and fun.  Thank you!  

Yesterday was the most beautiful day of our entire autumn season 
to date, and the cheerfulness and camaraderie showed through!  

Hope to see you at the next meeting -- and on the 145.410, 
K3PZN/R.  Don't let it stay quiet for too long!

I WILL BE PICKING UP a big banner and a box of goodies from Martha at AMSAT HQ this afternoon for our hamfest on Sunday!  

If y'all can reserve two (2) tables indoors for my booth plus an extra table for my "stock" and an electrical outlet or two nearby for my stunning display (SatPC32 satellite tracking software) then that would be fabulous!   

To another great hamfest for our club!
