[K3PZN-List] ARRL Field Day 2014 June 28th-29th Chairman Wanted

June is almost upon us and it is time to begin planning for Field Day this
year.  CCARC has secured the Gamber VFD grounds for this year's event and we
are looking for an enthusiastic volunteer to be the CCARC Field Day Chairman
for 2014.  We will be sharing the site this year with another event that
should give us a lot of exposure to the public.  So there will be many
opportunities to not only promote ham radio but promote membership in our
club as well-and we need to appeal to ALL ages.  The public needs to be
aware of the full range of services we provide as well as the activities in
which we participate.  So a really big part of our setup this year should be
dedicated to public relations and promoting ourselves.

 

We will be discussing plans for Field Day at our next general club meeting
on June 9 at the Non-Profit center in Westminster.    So feel free to step
up to the plate and take the position of Chairman for this year!  Although
the event is approximately one month away, there is not much time to plan
for this year's event.  Whether you have previous experience Chairing this
event of if you have never volunteered to help out the Club in the past, NOW
is your chance!  It does not take much time-only one or two planning
meetings (at your discretion) and coordinating activities on-site during the
weekend of the event.
