well since you are still well into your prime, please recruit your competent helper (no its clearly not me ...) and please install TWO of those masts wherever TBD FD chair requests. (music to country song 'I'm not as good as I once was' playing in the background, use your imagination as this reflector server does not permit attachments .... gee I need to increase the font size here as I can barely see what I am typing ....)
I remember one year we had a team of Boy Scouts visiting -- this chore literally kept them busy while we were still preparing stations to get them on the air. I think I remember a half dozen very capable young men and a couple capable scout leaders readily pulling off this assignment. They were dreadfully competent with this and only struggled when Kerri put a microphone in front of each one of them.
Let's see what we need ..... maybe I need to reprogram my feeble OS what fun is or can be. Actually Ray and Kerri are steady machines in installing the AB-570-something masts and ditto for the K1RH crew .... I keep waiting to hear his New England accent. Maybe we should aim to get each call district represented in our FD event -- 1, 3, 8 and KH6 are likely represented). The other category is operators that don't readily qualify for QCWA .... maybe I don't join since I still want to be unqualified.

Curt,
It only takes 2 people to set up and adjust one of those "low tech military masts," if only someone would have read the manual :-)

Yeah they might seek to have us all committed. Whatever suits your fancy.
Actually I am always impressed when NY3A shows up about an hour before start time and quickly deploys enough radiator to reach KH6.
Last year I thought we did a decent job but I long for the day when we don't erect those low tech mil masts that take 4 people to raise and more time to adjust. Ok at least our monster generator on a trailer is gone.
