Hopefully everyone has coped well enough with the Holidays.  After visiting family in 8-land I wanted to operate various rigs - so it was an interesting mix of activity:

FT-950 SSB chatting with folk in Europe (yes I don't do enough SSB)

Also did some 160m operating with K2 in SP with my Beverage on receive - but was mostly away from home being social with humans.  


HW8 on 15m CW - also working Europe with 1.5 watts.  It took some time to hook up various cables to get this rig on the air with an external keyer and external audio filter.  

HW16 - yes each winter its some glow from tubes for SKN.  the rig sounds wonderful on 40 and 15m (although I only make short contacts on 15m as the vintage HG10 VFO isn't that stable when multiplied by 3).  


Then at dawn back to the modern rig - nice to work KH2 on 15m CW - a new band country (that should give me KH2 on all 5 main bands - yes he LOTW confirmed last night).  


Nifty to shift gears with a different way of doing ham radio when time allows.  Will I have time to set up and do some RTTY this weekend?  And there are some nifty digital modes I have not done yet.  And a few more QRP rigs to use.  


Do some RF while the bands (from high to low) are great.
