Hi Jim,

I thought about you over the weekend — I assume you were operating the contest as well, and I hope you managed a high score.  You and NY3A are my local DX and contest heroes.  You are also two excellent people.

NY3A is a problem for me in a contest or a pileup, because he is well enough known that DX stations automatically log his call when they are talking to me.  I’m now used to sending M  M  M  M  M NY3M to correct them.

Yes, 1992.  Long time.  I’m still using the same rig (ts450sat), though I have been coveting a ts590 recently.  You spoiled me one time by lending me your Yaesu MP-1000 while you were out of town for a week.  You probably still have that radio as a spare.
