If you are new to contesting and unsure about working a contest consider
putting some time in Sunday - this can be a blast as all the hard core
contest stations have worked each other so they are looking for new
calls to work. The first time I worked sweeps I had a great run this way
with the big guns coming to me.
Also there is a local competition going on with PVRC trying to make it 4
years in a row against NCCC in the large club category. Last year PVRC
won by a large margin but things look tighter this year based on CW
scores so far.

If this is your interest, you might consider operating in the U class to take advantage of help in finding KH6, KL7 or chasing all those 7 and 0 calls. Note folk will be exchanging their section with many states having multiple sections.
