I have no clue how I failed to find W4C during the NC QSO party, but I did just fine in my score as a small package arrived in the mail today from W4MPS.  (Does anyone want to see it?)


Nice looking rig - maybe this is a FT-3000 - does anyone recognize it?  No I am happy with the rigs I have, but always nifty to operate something different.  Who knows, maybe John might bring his KX3 to field day or maybe someone else has a nifty new or old rig.  


This is one cool hobby - do consider trying a state's QSO party.  For many of them, its more exciting to be in-state - but I also have fun chasing down as many counties as I can.  Nice to finally add NC into the win column - I went for a win last year and finished 2nd place, this year my less enthusiastic effort brought me into first place.  But just operating is fun enough.
